Amazon certification can boost your salary potential. AWS or Amazon Web Services is an Amazon’s subsidiary. It offers many computer services like for computing, storage and networking along with Amazon Simple Storage Services and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud. AWS is the dominant player in the cloud computing market space. Amazon offers various certifications for the cloud computing professionals. AWS Developer Career scope is listed below. The certification portfolio is quite simple and falls into following three categories and are available in three associate and two professional levels:
Developing:This certification is for those people who maintain and develop the AWS applications. The two categories of this certification are Associate Level and Professional Level. Associate Level AWS certification is for the entry-level professionals and Professional level certification is for AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
Operations:The AWS platform must be optimized and managed to support development and architecture. This certification is also available in two categories one is an associate and other is professional. The associate level certification is for system operators or SysOps and just because SysOps and DevOps are tightly bounded so the upper-level Professional certification is for AWS Certified DevOps Engineers.
Architecting: The professionals who deploy and design the distributed systems on the AWS platform must have this certification. The certification is available in three levels, which starts from AWS Certified Solution Architect-Associate Level and move up to the Professional level.
As far as exam format is concerned than in each certification the candidate has to pass a single exam with multiple-choice questions. For all certifications the associate level exam costs $150 and is 80 minutes duration, while the professional level exam is 170 minutes and cost $300. For each professional level certification the prerequisite is associate level.
