Create an AMI, learn to take backups of existing instances and restore them.
Below are the steps need to be taken for AMI creation
Choose instance and right-click for which an AMI (Amazon machine image) need to be created, goto image -> Create Image.
In the open related window type the name of Image, description.
It’ll take some time to create an image. Once it's created it can be viewed in AMI’s view in AWS explorer.
