What does an AMI include?
Amazon machine image (AMI) is basically a preconfigured image template created by amazon or by user itself which contains information like - Operating system, an application server or application.
There are 2 types of AMI’s - First, is the official one which is created by Amazon which contains different OS.
Secondly, users can create their own custom AMI which can contain the information of application stack, configuration files etc. depending upon the requirement of the user.
