Stakeholder identification is the process used to identify all stakeholders for a project. It is important to understand that not all stakeholders will have the same influence or effect on a project, nor will they be affected in the same manner. Stakeholders Identifying is done using different research methodologies, Personal interviews, brainstorming, checklists creation, lessons learned from previous projects, conducting various workshops and so on. The stakeholders and their areas of interest are usually dependent on area of operation they are involved in organization or department. By understanding the root cause of stakeholder behavior, you can assess if there is a better way to work together to maintain a productive relationship

 Typical types of stakeholders will include:

individuals and groups performing the specific work;

individuals and groups affected by the specific work;

owners, shareholders and customers involved;

statutory and regulatory bodies in different geography, state, country.
