Mention the main types of IR technique.

There are three basic types of IR techniques. They are

a) Classical IR mode

This model is one of the easiest models and it works on fundamentals such as vectors,boolean as well as probabilistic concepts.Also it is one of the most commonly used models in NLP as the approach of this model is very easy and efficient.

b) Non classical IR model

This model works on the concepts such as situation theory,interaction as well as information logic models. It is also opposite to classical model as it is unable to perform on boolean or probabilistic concepts.

c) Alternative model.

It is very less used when both classical and non classical approaches do not fit into the problem.In such cases much enhanced concepts such as semantic indexing, fuzzy and cluster models are used.
