Creating effective notifications.

Sending notifications are very important aspects of any monitoring system. This is the only way via which users or groups of user’s get notified about the status of enabled services. Hence, creating an effective notification is of utmost importance. The alerts should be set in such a way that only the meaningful alerts are sent to user’s. For this it's very essential to judge the flapping states and not to send notifications for such states.

Also, this should be taken care that any user’s mailbox should not be flooded with nagios mails hence, it comes out to be very irritating and most of the user’s end up with ignoring these mails.
