Managing & scheduling host/service downtimes
Let’s suppose, one or some group of servers added in Nagios are going under maintenance hence they need to be shut down, but in such case Nagios will throw alerts and send notifications to respective contacts as it’ll treat this server as “DOWN”.
Hence, Nagios gives an option of setting these servers under Downtime window during these windows. The servers will be completely ignored for monitoring and no such alerts/notifications will be sent.
Home-> Incident Management -> Schedule Downtime.
