I was going through the process of a collaborative project using Git. During the process encountered a situation where I was finding the error of (git_discovery_ filesystem not set) when attempting to clone a git repository. How can I troubleshoot this particular issue?

Here are the steps to troubleshoot the error “stopping a fil e system boundary or (git_discovery_across_ filesystem set):-

Checking configuration by using the command

  “git config – get git_discovery_filesystem”

This command is here to ensure that your configuration does not have issues, if have use the command

“git config –global git_ discovery_filesystem true

Checking compatibility

Ensure that your file system h is used for the repository is compatible with the requirements of git.

Local cloning

Suggestions should be given for cloning the repository onto a local file system. This will finally troubleshoot the problem.

If the above steps are not solving your specific problem then you should consult DevOps engineers to ensure that the infrastructure configuration is aligned with the requirements of git or not.
