Of all the phases of SDLC, once the coding has been done, the
development team executes its unit test cases, if issues are identified this is  probably the first stage where bugs can be identified and fixed. Then Testing  phase is the next stage during which bugs are identified and fixed. Apart from  this, during maintenance stage, bugs are identified and fixed.
