How to install sql server 2012

Below are the steps required to install SQL Server 2012:

With the administrator user login to your Windows server

From the link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29062, download the SQL server setup

In the third step, you need to click on the installer file and then click on RUN

Once you do the third step, the setup file will start extracting the installation files

Now you would be able to see on the next screen there is an option on the top to install a new stand-alone installation, click on that.

Once the basic operations are processed, you will be able to view the licensing screen where you have to check the box for “I accept the license terms”

The next screen will show you some product updates which you have to leave untouched and click on next.

Here in this step, you would be able to see the set up is getting ready for installations.

Next, you will see the Feature Selection page, where you need to select the features that you need to install.

Now, in this step, choose a name for the instance on the Instance Configuration page.

Server configuration is the next step, here you can change the Windows services associated with this instance of SQL Server.

Database Engine configuration is the next step. Here, you can select between SQL Server or Mixed Mode.

In the final step, the SQL server will get installed on your computer.

Once the installation is finished, you will see a screen that has appeared that would show what al things are installed.
