What is the difference between Python vs Ipython?

I am currently working on a data analyst project that can involve a significant amount of exploratory data analysis and visualization. I need to frequently run snippets of code, visualize data, and modify your workflow on the fly. I have to choose to use either standard Python or Ipython for this particular project. How can I choose between the two?
